Libby's First Week Firsts

It's hard to believe that Libby has only been in our lives a week. What did we ever do without her? She has certainly had a busy week, especially when you consider that she sleeps over half the day. Here are some of her "firsts" from the past few days:

Friday 12.28:
  • first look at the world
  • first visitors at the hospital (Auntie Michelle, Nana, Ashley, Papa & Mary)
  • first dozen roses from her Papa
  • first facetime (with Grandma, Auntie Lindsay & Adi)
Saturday 12.29:
  • passed her first test (hearing)
  • first failed class (breastfeeding, lets hope she never fails another class again)
  • she survived her first big new england snow storm (in the cozy hospital)
Sunday 12.30:
  • first road trip (3 miles from hospital to home)
  • first look at her new home
  • first out of town visitors (Auntie Johanna & Joe)
  • first birthday cake (from Auntie Laura I.)
  • first up-all-night-slumber party with mommy (she had more fun than mom did)
Monday 12.31
  • first doctor's appointment
  • first poop-plosion (someday she'll love that we mentioned this one)
  • first smiles (due to gas and a full tummy)
  • first new years eve party (up all night with mommy again)
Tuesday 1.1
  • first day of the new year
  • first ride in her swing
  • first tummy time
Wednesday 1.2
  • first spa day (bath & maincure, she screamed through the bath, but didn't mind the nail trimming)
  • first music session with daddy (mostly listened to some jazz)
Thursday 1.3
  • first outfit that truly fit her (thanks to premie clothes that Auntie Laura I. picked up)
  • first night that she let mommy sleep for 3 hours
  • first nicknames emerge: Little Bird, Libster, Libbymonster
Friday 1.4
  • first piece of mail (a card from her papa and a box of clothes from her grandma)
  • first time on her playmat (she was fascinated with that cute baby
  • in the mirror)
  • first personalized gift (a pink bunny towel with her name on the back from Aunt Laura W.)

  3. Great photos of your little beauty! She looks so teeny in Jim's arms. Awww!! I love how you have a sense of humor about the not sleeping. And of course Auntie Laura I. baked her a birthday cake. Love it! :)
